‘Defiant’ Mortimer Prize Finalist

Very happy to announce that my self portrait ‘Defiant’ has been shortlisted in the 2010 Mortimer Prize for Realism. The finalist exhibition is now touring QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC for the next 6 months – see the Mortimer Prize website for details.   This is the first art award I’ve entered in over a decade, having been focused primarily on illustration and graphic art for that time. Not sure when I’ll enter another, but I hope to balance my studio focus and create time to return to fine art and the award circuit sometime in the next 5 years.
