‘Seer’ Takes Flight on ‘Weirdscapes’ Book Cover

Art Meets Literature
I’m thrilled to share that my oil painting Seer (2025) has found her perfect literary home as the cover art for Weirdscapes: An Otherworldly Anthology, published by Ink Alchemy Books and edited by Kyle Thompson. The anthology, released as a 269p paperback in July 2025, is now available from select physical bookstores, on Amazon worldwide, including Australia, USA, Canada, and the UK, and from Barnes & Noble (USA).
A Perfect Match
Featuring works of short fiction by authors Weirdscapes is described as a collection of “stories set in unusual, sometimes surreal, locations. From an alien planet to the core of our own, the inside of a coffin to the afterlife, parallel universes to the inner landscape of the mind.” Seer traverses themes of perception, transformation, and the boundaries between different states of being – concepts that resonate deeply with the anthology’s exploration of otherworldly places and inner landscapes.
The collaboration with Naomi Daniluk from Ink Alchemy Books was an absolute pleasure. It’s always exciting to work with publishers who truly understand the synergy between visual art and literature, and who see how the right image can be a portal into the stories within.
Worlds Collide
A huge book nerd myself, and heavily influenced artistically by many of my favourite science fiction and fantasy works, this cover placement feels exceptionally meaningful because it represents the intersection of two art forms I’m passionate about – visual narrative through painting and the literary exploration of strange, transformative spaces. Both mediums ask us to step outside our familiar world and consider what lies beyond the boundaries of everyday experience.
